Benefits of Greens Membership

Greens members form the Branches, which together make the policy for the state organisation. The State organisations make the decisions for the national body, the Australian Greens. Therefore, as a member of the Queensland Greens you can influence local, State and national Greens policy and participate in change-making politics. This is democracy at its grassroots.

If other commitments restrict you from participating in active politics, you can support the Greens through your valued membership and receive benefits like local and State emailed information and the national Green magazine. Your acknowledged support and financial assistance gives all members a moral and financial boost.

Greens membership is simple and, depending on your income, costs as little as $20 per year for unwaged people. Other means of supporting the Greens include becoming a Greenscheme Member and contributing a monthly donation. Download a membership form here, or contact us for one to be posted, faxed or emailed.

Greenscheme Members have on-going membership; other memberships fall due on July 1 each year and expire on June 30 each year.
