Is a vote for the Greens a wasted vote? The major parties want you to think so. But a vote for the Greens sends a strong message that you support Green policies. If you are worried about who wins, then you can give your preference to whomever you choose on Election Day.
The Queensland Greens are not recommending any party as a second choice. We believe they have all deserted putting Queenslanders and our communities, our environment behing those of mining interests. The other parties are too busy shoring up their votes, rather than truly representing the needs of their constituents. If you truly want change, we believe you should vote for the party or candidate you believe best represent your interests, even if they are the 'underdog.'
Every vote counts, every mark on your ballot paper counts. Unlike in other countries, where people need to march and put their bodies on the line to force change, we can do so with the power of your vote, together we can bring about change.
