LNP needs to come clean on Tree Clearing

Greens MP Ronan Lee today said the Liberal National Party needs to be honest with the people of Queensland about its position on Queensland’s tree clearing laws.

“LNP frontbenchers have strongly criticised these important environmental protections and the people of Queensland need a guarantee that a LNP government would not water down these laws”

“The LNP has a dreadful record on the environment and people are justified in wanting answers about where the LNP stands today”

“It is not good enough for the LNP to simply highlight problems with Labor’s environmental record – the LNP needs to be up front about its policies too”

“One thing is clear – the only choice for voters concerned about the environment is to vote for the Queensland Greens” Mr Lee said.
