Premier will not answer questions on renewable energy
The Premier, Anna Bligh, today refused to answer a question from Greens MP, Ronan Lee, asking her to provide the information on which the state government based its decision to introduce a net rather than a gross fee-in tariff for renewable energy.
Mr Lee asked the government to release all information on which it based this poor decision and the premier refused to do so.
Mr Lee said the people of Queensland deserve better. They deserve an explanation on why the government would take this position on such an important policy matter.
"If Anna Bligh had confidence in her policy decision on this key issue of renewable energy, she should be happy to release this information," Mr Lee said.
