About
Anthony has always lived on the north side of Brisbane in the outer suburbs; he grew up in Strathpine, was living in Redcliffe while in university, and moved into his own home in Zillmere only 6 years ago. It’s a great place to live and work, the people are largely friendly and Brisbane is only a short trip away. His background is in information technology and has been working with a large public organisation for the last 6 years.
“Working in my department has taught me about the importance of being both a good technician and good at serving frontline staff and the Queensland public”
Anthony has always had an interest in the built environment and architecture, a passion he picked up from his father, a second generation builder and developer working in his own company. Working with his father on small developments, he learnt a lot about the struggles of a small business and the ever changing construction industry.
“When I was younger, it was hard to make ends meet for a builder, and sustainability was the last thing on anyone’s mind at the time. Fortunately things are changing and in some ways it’s getting better”
Nudgee is like many suburbs in outer Brisbane, it does find itself struggling with their finances, finding good education and healthcare for their families and the balance between strong business and preserving our environments and lifestyle.
“The challenges are great and that is why I, together with my fellow Greens candidates, have stood up to improve the lives of the people who are my neighbours and fellow Queenslanders. I seek to strongly represent and be your voice in the State Parliament.”
