About

James is a long term resident of the Gold Coast and is a strong advocate of transparent, accountable and effective government.

James is well educated, holding qualifications in Education, Agriculture and Disability. He is also acutely aware of the environmental issues facing Queensland, from the Gold Coast to the Daintree.
Being a marine enthusiast and sailor he takes a keen interest in current developments and issues on Moreton Bay and the Broadwater.

James is an advocate for a strong state education system and believes that it is the cornerstone for the next generation of Queenslanders, without a strong education system we are nothing.

Policies

James is keen to see:

    ⁃    A bright and sustainable future for Moreton Bay and the Broadwater.
    ⁃    See the Gold Coast become one of Australia's premiere tourist destinations.
    ⁃    Development of a wider range of disability services in Queensland as a whole.
    ⁃    Improvement in the state of current mental health services.
    ⁃    Funding returned to the Police service for a return of non-uniform support staff.
    ⁃    Sustainable agriculture systems to feed Queensland today and into the future.
    ⁃    An improved more efficient public transit system for the south east, and Queensland at large.
    ⁃    A limit of residential development in line with development of infrastructure.
    ⁃    Conservation of our natural beauty uninhibited by development such as LNG.
