Queensland Greens Lead Senate Candidate, Adam Stone knows just how difficult it is for sole parents as he and his two sisters were brought up by his single mother.

“It’s really tough,” he said. “Mum raised the three of us while running a pig farm and qualifying as a psychologist and I know that there were times when she barely slept for weeks.”

A small group of Queensland Greens enjoying post-election drinks in a Brisbane hotel this afternoon announced that they had reached consensus that no one was more deserving of the accolade than Mr Palmer.
